Test Principle

The N530A 2.0 Gas Permeability Tester operates on the differential pressure method. The prepared sample is placed between the upper and lower chambers. A vacuum pump is used to evacuate the entire gas circuit system, and then test gas at one atmospheric pressure is introduced into the upper chamber to form a constant pressure difference between the upper and lower chambers. Under the action of the pressure gradient, gas permeates through the film from the upper chamber to the lower chamber. The system can calculate the gas permeability and other barrier performance parameters of the sample based on the pressure change in the lower chamber.
